James R. Grossett

Prior to joining GarMark in 2016, Mr. Grossett served as a financial and operational advisor to private equity controlled enterprises. From 2010 through 2014, Mr. Grossett was a Senior Vice President for The Huntington National Bank. At Huntington, Mr. Grossett founded and managed a leveraged lending platform that provided senior debt capital to portfolio companies of middle market private equity clients on a nationwide basis. Mr. Grossett also served as a voting member of the Huntington Bank’s mezzanine investment committee. From 1999 until 2010, Mr. Grossett was with Comerica Bank. He served as senior lender and First Vice President at Comerica from 1997 through 1999, managing the east coast large corporate lending division. From 1999 until 2010, Mr. Grossett spearheaded the development of Comerica’s private equity group, which was responsible for originating, underwriting and managing leveraged loan assets as well as managing Comerica Bank’s private equity limited partner investment portfolio from 1999 through 2006. Mr. Grossett began his career in commercial banking at Manufacturers National Bank of Detroit in 1983.
Mr. Grossett received a B.S. in finance from the University of Arizona. He also has an M. B. A. from the University of Michigan.
